FAA flat roof products have no restrictions on use
Stronghold Resin, Chopped Strand Mat, Topcoat and Catalyst must be used on the installation as these components have been tested together. Do not use components supplied by others, as it is very unlikely that the finished roof will achieve an AA fire rating. Indeed,the Stronghold Fire Certificate and Guarantee will be invalid if untested components are used.
WARNING
Be aware that most untested systems have no fire retardants and as such the finished laminate would not only fail a fire test but is also likely to be flammable and therefore not able to pass the most basic fire test.
Catalyst
Stronghold Catalyst 5 Kg, 1 Kg, 500 gram and 250 gram containers all have vented caps to comply with current Health and Safety legislation. The 1 Kg and 500 gram bottles have separate dispensing chambers. Caps on the 1 Kg, 500 gram and 250 gram bottles are also childproof.
Fire Safety
Stringent testing is undertaken on all Stronghold products.
All Stronghold flat roofing systems now achieve the highest fire rating which is BS 476-3: 2004 EXT.F.AA
